Orlando-Based Theme Park Researcher and Photographer

We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual for a brand new position with Cambrick Yard LLC. Cambrick Yard is dedicated to building the best content on the Internet. We create websites and informational products with an emphasis on creating strong brand loyalty and user satisfaction.

The Multi-Media Correspondent will primarily be responsible for gathering photo and some video content for our websites in the Orlando Disney Parks and Resorts, with a specific focus on food photography. Food purchases are reimbursable expenses (and yes, you get to eat it so you can let us know what you think!). Additionally, the ideal candidate will have an interest in podcast production, and will lead occasional in-park meet-ups with our website readers.

Job responsibilities are divided into two components: onsite and at-home work.

Photography and Videography:

On-site components:
- Attend openings of new restaurants and food-focused events in the Disney Parks for the purpose of capturing photo and video content as well as pertinent information and opinions for restaurant reviews. A flexible schedule is required, as restaurant openings often happen with little advanced notice.

- Weekly visits to Disney Parks to examine menus, looking primarily for new items and price changes. Park visits will also involve purchasing and photographing snacks and meals (paid for by Cambrick Yard) for review.

- Send photographs via smartphone or tablet to Supervisor in real time while onsite (especially in the instance of restaurant openings) for social media purposes.

At Home Component:

- Editing of photo and video content

- Working virtually with website writers to produce restaurant reviews and articles (conveying necessary information as well as submitting edited photos and videos), with fast turnaround time (same day) expected in the case of restaurant openings

- Regular meetings with Supervisor to discuss onsite goals and restaurant openings

Podcast Production:

At-home Component:

- Coordinate ideas for Disney Park food topics and recording schedule with Supervisor

- Manage recording sessions and participate in the podcast (be a voice/personality) along with Supervisor

- Manage podcast editing (either by self or contractor) and publishing/promotion

Events

On-site components:

- Attend and lead occasional in-park events.

General Job Information:

Work environment:

- Work will be conducted in the contractor’s home as well as in the Disney Parks with minimal supervision. The in-parks portion of the position involves a substantial amount of walking — often several miles per park visit — while carrying photography equipment (no tripod).

Schedule:

- While all of the necessary computer work will be completed at home on the employee’s preferred schedule and many park trips can take place regarding what works best for them, the ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and the ability to get to Walt Disney World with very little notice.

Required Qualifications:

- Local to the Walt Disney World area with a passion for the Theme Parks and up-to-date knowledge of Park happenings
- Flexible time schedule and able to make trips into the parks and resorts with little advance notice
- Excellent photography skills and access to good equipment
- Food photography or other photography experience is a huge plus, as are photo editing skills
- A computer for at-home editing of photos/videos

Benefits:

- A flexible schedule with minimal supervision
- Work from home when not in parks
- A fun, dynamic, creative team. Though we don’t work together in an office, we support one another virtually.
